Thanks to two generous grants from Metro’s Nature in Neighborhoods program and East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District’s Partners in Conservation program, ECO will be facilitating a two-year $160,000 program at Lent Elementary in SE Portland.

During the next two years, ECO Scientists in Residence will present 24 hands-on ecology lessons to each 4th and 5th grade student who will also work to create an Outdoor Classroom & Native Habitat on school grounds. Partner, Ed Kerns, of the Lents Springwater Habitat Restoration Project will facilitate 24 habitat restoration field trips along the Springwater Corridor
