ECO inspires elementary school students to connect to our natural world by providing hands-on ecology enrichment programs.

We’re taking education outside - into our communities and into nature. More and more, we understand how vital it is for experiential, place-based studies to happen younger and over the course of a student’s schooling to build ecological literacy. They come to discover our connectedness and through this knowledge, they recognize that caring for our shared place is the same as caring for ourselves.

Our education model is cumulative and grows with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our multi-tiered, instructional approach starts with lessons we deliver in the classroom and builds toward service-learning projects that enrich the educational experience and strengthen communities.

#GivingTuesday is a global giving day the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. On this day we’ll have a number of packages to give away! Follow us on Facebook and tune in on November 27th to donate and be entered to win! And - stay tuned - we’re putting together a sneak peak of what we’re giving away!

I see students taking more ownership of their environment after ECO lessons. Students begin thinking of our community, our ecosystem, and our planet differently. They begin asking deeper questions and express a deeper understanding of how humans have a responsibility to care for our environment.
